I was driving to Joe's coffee shop in East Atlanta when I passed this guy. He was standing next to Moreland Ave with flyers in his hand for a company that does tax preparation.
I pulled my car up next to him, rolled down my window and asked him, "Why are you wearing a Statue of Liberty costume?"
He answered, "I'm supposed to wear a sailor's uniform, but someone took it."
Of course.

Last year I entered Liberty Tax Service in Lawrenceville, and asked the owner if he ever imagined he could be turning AWAY tax business by having some idiot huddling to the masses on Old Peachtree Pkwy in that silly Lady Liberty gitup...he just said,
"D'ya think so?"
I withheld my additional comment about the relatively low hourly labor rates (and lack of tax liability) of signs over potentially illegal residents.
